D. Richard Lough, M.D.
BACKGROUND
Dr. Lough attended college at West Virginia
University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and
was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated with
honors from WVU Medical School and was elected to
the Alpha Omega Honor Medical Society. He completed
his Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Residency
at WVU.
Dr. Lough is a member of the American Academy of
Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and the
American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He has had
extensive training in otology (ear surgery), head
and neck oncologic surgery including thyroid
diseases, pediatric otolaryngology, laryngology
voice disorders, and diseases of the sinuses
including endoscopic sinus surgery.
Dr. Lough grew up in Fairmont, West Virginia. He
lives in Charleston with his wife and three
children. He is an avid WVU Mountaineer fan and in
his free time enjoys exercising, skiing, golfing and
reading.
