Michael R. Goins, M.D.
BACKGROUND
A Charleston native, Dr. Goins
joined EN&T Associates in 2005. He received both his
BA degree in Biology and his Medical Degree from
West Virginia University. After completing an
internship at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, he
went on to do his residency training at Wake Forest
University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem,
NC. He spent his final year at Wake Forest as Chief
Resident in the Otolaryngology Department.
Dr. Goins is Board Certified by the
American Board of Otolaryngology. He has received
s4everal honors and awards, including the Smith
Kline Beecham Award given to the outstanding fourth
year medical student designated by course
coordinators and department chairs. He is also the
recipient of the National Institute of Occupational
Safety and Health Research Fellowship and is a
member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Throughout his training, Dr. Goins
participated in several Otolaryngology research
projects and has several publications and
presentations credited to his name.
